What is love? Love means to deeply care for someone or something. Agape is one of 3 Greek words for love. In the bible, the first commandment is to love God and your neighbor as you love yourself. But what if you don't love yourself? Then you can't possibly love God and your neighbor. To love yourself, you have to seek Jesus. Get into the word (bible), go to church, accept the Lord into your heart and life, get baptized (I will blog on baptizing later), and then start looking inward on you. Do a self examination and write down what you need to work on. Write down what God tells you to work on and pray about those things. For me, it was my mental well being. I let emotions get in the way and then one day I broke down crying to Jesus. I made and good list and bad list about my self and then prayed over those things. I learned to love myself a long time ago. When I was able to do that, I was able to really love others. Be humble. Be kind. God Bless
Romans 12:9-13
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
